We are building a home in Plainfield, ( north pointe subdivision) and I’m looking for a pre-school recommendation for my 4 year old starting in the fall of 2020. We currently live in Bolingbrook and she goes to hidden oaks, ( nature center, part of bolingbrook park district) 9:10-11:40 and we’ve LOVED it. Is there anything similar in Plainfield that you’d recommend? She currently goes 2x a week, and would be going 3x next year. I’m a SAHM, so hours are flexible. Any input good and bad is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

My daughter goes to hidden oaks too! Same two days at that time! I’m just going to say that I live in Plainfield/Joliet and it’s worth the 20 min drive to hidden oaks! Plainfield does not have a nature preschool that I have found. Joliets is on the east side. It doesn’t cost a whole lot more to go to hidden oaks as a nonresident. I don’t really feel like it’s worth going home while she’s in school so I walk around Whalen Lake, read a book, go grab a coffee, watch a movie on my phone, or even take a nap in my car. I’m hooked on hidden oaks.

Kids Connection of Essington rd. Both my boys went there, and now 2 sets of friends have all their kids going there plus our niece went there. We love it there !

I 100% agree with @trochanter ⬆️ We moved really close to Plainfield but still Bolingbrook (foxridge farms subdivision) a couple years ago. Our now 5yr old was still in preschool at Hidden Oaks . We stayed at Oaks and wouldn't have had it any other way. We did Oaks for all of our boys and loved it out there! I didn't even look around here for a different place because we loved it so much. I made the 20 minute drive 3x a week back and forth but it was so worth it! ❤️

Children’s courtyard. We have Mrs. Monica as our 4yr old sons teacher and the amount he’s learned is incredible. We can’t wait for our 3yr old to have her! Also they offer a live feed into the classroom that you watch your child all the time. I’m a SAHM too and constantly checking in!

I know there is one like Hidden oaks in Yorkville it may be to far. But I highly recommend KLA right behind North pointe.

My daughter goes to Children’s Courtyard as well and She also has Ms. Monica. I send her 3x a week and possibly switching to 5x after Christmas. She is so disappointed when she doesn’t get to go. I’m extremely impressed with how much she has learned so far this school year and excited to say that she is reading already! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

We moved to Plainfield from Bolingbrook last year and my son is at Hidden Oaks. Granted it is convenient for us since my mother in law babysits for us and is in Bolingbrook so it’s easy for her, but honestly I love Hidden Oaks so much that if this wasn’t the case I’d still have him there!
