could be if the power outage caused a wider outage with your internet provider, they use power too

yes but if your provider went down outside the house then your backup power won’t matter if there’s no internet signal coming in from the provider

that’s standard, it should have kicked in, surprised if it didn’t. Mine always does. It’s my alert to my internet glitching

It's only a backup battery, should be left plugged in at all times, and if you have a power cut it will continue to work for 24 hours
