Got a Ring stick up outdoor battery camera. Live view apparently does not stay on continuously; ok, so when it sees motion it notifies you but does NOT turn on the picture? You must activate the live view yourself? Is this true?

Even wired Rings have a live view timeout and do not activate the camera automatically on the motion. Just sends an alert.

Ridiculous. This is seriously misrepresented in the ads.

True after 30 days of acivation if you then don't buy the subscription. subscription gets you the cloud recording. no Ring cameras have on-board recording.

Oh, so also, subscription or no, you need good wifi to the Spot to get good video.
