When you have the ring security system, as well as outdoor cameras. Can you have it so your outdoor cameras still send you notifications on your phone when they are activated. But not trigger your whole system? Personally I’d like to get notifications on my phone for the outdoor cameras being activated, but because sometimes they are fake or are just an animal or something. I won’t want my whole house to wake up in a panic unless it’s more door sensor or window sensor or something

Cameras won't set off your alarm.

Yes, the alarm system is separate. Uses sensors on doors/windows. When the system is in “home or “away” mode you can set those sensors to trigger alarm. The cameras operate separately.

Thanks ! On the website it has a picture of the security cameras and says “works with ring doorbell and security cameras” But thanks for clarifying !

The cameras do have different “Modes” for the Ring alarm. For instance, I have a wired Ring stick up cam inside my home. When the Ring alarm is “Disarmed”, the camera is out into a “private” mode. Meaning I can’t see it unless I go to live view. When the alarm is “Home” or “Away” the stick up cam comes online.

I wish the outdoor camera sirens could be made to activate when the home security is tripped.

I really don't know why they don't. The base alarm in the house sounds louder outside than standing right next to one of the cams with siren on so why not?
