What is the process when the alarm is triggered. I remember having to set a password. But when we had a false alarm all we got was an automated call. Is that because we turned off the alarm from keypad once It went off? What if we didn’t turn it off? What if someone was here and forced me to turn off the alarm? Why would the automated message take time to make me say “acknowledged” and then ask me if I need emergency help? I thought a person would call and give me chance to give wrong password so they would know to dispatch

There’s a duress code which will disarm the alarm but send the police immediately.

And I’ll add the duress code only works from the keypad, not a door lock.

@wagonlit2 I remember setting up a verbal password too

@washin verbal password is only if the alarm is going off for more than 30 seconds and they call.

@wagonlit2 got it thanks! So if going for more than 30 seconds would a human call or automated still?

@washin it would be a human asking for your verbal password then asking if everything is ok before staying on the line for you to disarm the alarm and check the premises if desired.
