No fix. It's broke you need a new 1. No cases to change of first cameras.

Whole new doorbell

You don't need a new doorbell, just the face plate.

by (1.5k points)
@knotts89 That looks like the RDB1 - no replacing of faceplate possible.

If you have the replacement coverage with Ring, they will replace it for Free. If you do not have it, call Ring and see how much the coverage costs vs buying a new one.

Don’t throw it away. Use it somewhere around the house.
by (270 points)
Yep. Just use it as a camera.
by (270 points)
I have 4 ring doorbells. Only one is actually positioned to use as a doorbell. The others are just great cameras.

Do you pay for a plan? The family plan for 10 a month extends the warranty. You can just call support.

The button is broken folks. @carolinecarolingian new cover "faceplate" will not fix this. If your'e on the plus plan, call Ring or message them on Facebook IM. They sent me a replacement pro when my button cracked.
by (1.2k points)
Beat me to it. Why not just replace it. Ring plus covers this. And you get the newer tech. Some people dont get this. Its baffling

Buy new one or see if one for parts on sale on Ebay.

Does the camera work still? Use it. Love mine but had to replace my front door one after two years. Battery (internal) would not charge. Get a Ring 2 with pop-out battery (I have that on the garage side) and buy an extra battery so one is ready to go when the other gets low (about once every two months or so, depending). eBay has tons of replacement ones for less than retail.

Costco has Ring 2 doorbell on sale for $99. 99 which includes year of monitoring valued at $100 (do the math). I just purchased one. Our plan expires in May at which time I will cancel and resubscribe.
