I’ve run into a recent problem with my Ring 2. Over the past 2 weeks, on occasion, I am not receiving notifications for motions and Doorbell presses. All my settings are correct and motion and ring alerts are switched on. It must be a software issue as all motion and ring alerts are recorded just no notifications sent to any of my devices i. e. iPhones, iPads, echo shows etc. I do have Person Detection switched on so wondering if there was a buggy update causing this issue. I just can’t explain why on random occasions I fail to receive any notification alerts. Also not an issue with wifi, I’ve been using Ring 2 for over 2 years and it’s worked reliably until now. For now I’m going to turn off person detection and motion verification is off too and see if there is any improvement. Just wondering if anyone experienced the same?

Quick update, switching off person alert seems to have resolved the issue and I get notifications every time the doorbell is pressed. Switching on motion verification also seems to be ok. The issue is definitely pointing to a bug in person only mode. Hopefully this is an issue Ring are aware in and will deliver a software fix. For now, I’m switching this mode off and will try again in a few months time.
