Is there a way to get videos from Ring that weren't a motion or doorbell press notification?

Not sure what you mean. You can enter live view whenever, which produces a recording. All three "types" of videos can be downloaded afterwards.

@gerontocracy let's say my neighbor across the street has cars broke into in the middle of the night but I didn't get a notification. Can I request the footage from a certain time?

@gerontocracy nope, they don’t record 24/7

@pleistocene that's what I thought, thank you!

@neap19 no worries!

But you can have it take snapshots between events. Mine takes snapshots every one minute so I can see what happens outside my house 24/7 to some extent.

Yes with the fill in the blanks feature. I have all my cameras set on it. It's like time lapse.

@singlecross28 your getting Snapshot confused with video recording. Snapshot just takes pictures on a specific time interval creating what looks likes a time lapsed video. He's looking for full videos.

@quade nope I'm not. I have that feature enabled as well. It's called fill in the blanks feature. However, if he's worried about his neighbors property he might want to suggest to his neighbor that ring is available to anyone. Ring was not set up to continually record. There are other security systems that are if that's what a person needs.

No, the Ring cameras do not record 24/7. They only record when motion is detected. You can setup a feature called snapshot though. Snapshot takes a photo every 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 3 minutes depending on your settings. It creates kinda like a timelapse video that you can watch anytime.

If you have snapshot set up and depending on the frequency, you might catch the view to neighbors at the right time.

I should mention that my neighbors haven't had any issues with break-ins or asked for any footage, that was just my example.

The ring doorbell only records when there is motion or a doorbell press. It is not a continual recording device. If you want that you need a CCTV system not a ring doorbell.
