My rvd2 has been operating well for some time but yesterday it reported a low battery despite being hardwired and previously maintaining a full charge. I removed the battery and charged it back to 100%, refitted it and 15 hours later it's down to 91%. Clearly something is wrong. Any ideas?

I had the same issue when it was cold out. It's holding in 90%s now that it's been warmer weather.

@ferino53 we've got warm weather currently, around 18 degrees C. Plus the camera is inside a communal hallway and sheltered from extreme weather.

@kneel Curious. I wonder if it was bad firmware. maybe mine has since updated. Just speculating at this point ‍♂️

@ferino53 speculation is appreciated. I'm hoping someone reading my post has experienced the same issue and can tell me how they resolved it. Otherwise I'm down to a reset and going from there. I'm fairly confident the battery is ok as it took a few hours to charge, online with Ring's user guide.

Battery needs to be replaced.

@karakalpak not so Ken. I've resolved this now and will post how shortly, but the battery wasn't showing any signs of needing replacing, such as short charging time or not holding a charge.

@kneel that's good, saved you 30 bucks!

@karakalpak yes, although I'm sure at some point a new battery will be required, as they don't last forever.
