I've tried everything: Optimized the site as much as possible with continues improvements daily worked on GMB is optimized as much as it allows to do Bi weekly articles posted on the site 60 backlinks created monthly from profile creations to everything else IG Posts + Giveaways Email marketing Even somehow managed to get Google Ads running a few days ago. How do you drive organic Canadian traffic to a site that is in the grey area because of the field it's in? If anyone here has work on something like this before, please reach out, might outsource this for support! It's month 6 now roughly and sales have picked up yes, but it's not enough to be excited. It's just covering the client's expense at the moment for the marketing services we do.

@calliope8 yes reddit is awesome. Users are brutally honest but very loyal once into your ecosystem. Your clients customer service needs to be top shelf. Survey current users and get super deep on what they care about deep dive into the psychographics write on those topics for organic.

I am researching something simmilar, i think the answer for this nieche might be building a community. Something along that way i see websites like growdiaries. com and weedtube. I am especially facinated with the idea of growdiaries, especially how they connected advertisers with contests.

Forum submission is the only thing which can work really well. Try targeting and answering questions into different different places. “marijuana in (City you want to target). If you see any specific answers giving you a lot of clicks. Make backlinks to that question so that it even ranks well on google.

Is the traffic there to make it worthwhile? I know in the US dispensaries get a lot of traffic from a few major aggregate websites like Weedmaps and more regional 'guide sites' and then some local advertising. Working on placement within weedmaps, or yelp or getting listed on the 'guide sites' that exist for most major cities sounds like a better investment. It's a good industry to buy 'lead lists' from, get an SMS campaign going (callfire). That and maybe some PPC. Simply, not many people who buy weed go on google and type in 'weed [city name]'. Maybe I've just not dealt with large enough metro areas. ‍♂️

There's not a lot of PPC platforms that accept any cannabis-related ads. You can slip them by Google, but eventually will get the account suspended. Also, there is a decent amount of volume for people searching "marijuana + city" "cannabis + city" . The biggest searches I see are "dispensary near me" "dispensary + city", "best dispensary". However, I know that this is an online dispensary so that's a little different.
