Who’s gonna pitch this guy SEO services and retire this year? Hell he’s offering 5 figures for Instagram memes. **not a political post, just impressed by the absurd spending**

His PPC ads are just modified broad match and they never apply negatives.

@clearcut who needs optimization when your budget is unlimited

@dilate when your unlimited budget is your quality score

Lmao. These are great finds if you were trying to trim some extra fat on the account, but when the client is a billionaire and doesn't care I guess you end up with all broad match.

It’s 100% intentional. It’s a massive branding campaign. They want every search relating to his name to show their ads.

He must have applied all Google's recommendations. 100% optimization score :-)

Absurd spending. like running trillion dollar deficits in a strong economy?

Why do you consider it absurd?
by (860 points)
@mollescent he’s spending up to a billion dollars of his own personal wealth to become president. That will crush any other campaign in history, even people who have massive corporate donors. Also he’s focusing a ton on digital marketing, which is something both Trump and Obama killed their opponents in.

Coca-Cola spent $4B on ads in 2018 - more than 10% of their revenue.

I wouldn’t want to compromise myself like that.

That is not absurd at all. Paid traffic works and can make you a ton of $$$ or in this case push publicity and votes. I'd gladly spend 5 figures on a single influencer if I was certain of a return

I found this interesting because this isn’t a business, but spending to gain a political position. which obviously money in politics has always been there but this is another level and somewhat questionable ethically. However, it doesn’t mean money is the sole thing to win elections when you consider how much Hilary outspent trump last year Another interesting thing is how much it limits/hurts other candidates in the primaries because of the bidding wars they can’t win

Judging by the polls and him ranking 2nd out of nowhere now, shows the effectiveness of this massive digital media blitz and could potentially change political advertising forever

The polls lie

Honestly I don’t know if it is because of the effectiveness of the campaign or the frustration a lot of Democrats are feeling about the other candidates. Probably a little if both.

It could also be a study that no matter how much money you spend, you cannot beat organic word of mouth. Yes he's rising up quick but every candidate had their moment so i'm not sure all of that could be credited to money. It was once Biden or Bernie. Then it was Warren/Biden/Bernie. Then it was Bernie/Biden/Kamala. The DNC will pump anyone but Bernie. You get the point. now that his history comes to surface (bloomberg), it'll be interesting to see if paid ads can cover a terrible past.

@twitty don’t kid yourself. It was never Kamala.

Not sure he can spend a mil a day. This can be a PR stunt?
by (2.7k points)
@mcculloch2544 the man is worth $63 BILLION. A million here and there is nothing to him.
by (620 points)
@lodged Not the point. Difficult to spend that much unless he is targeting every single user in FB with multiple frequency in which I find that to be highly unlikely.
by (240 points)
@mcculloch2544 why would that be unlikely? It is for a political brand and repetition is everything
by (4.8k points)
@mcculloch2544 In the last 7 days he's spent $8, 730, 179 on Facebook alone. So that's over 1 million a day.
by (620 points)
@manicotti645 Every single user.
by (14.2k points)
@mcculloch2544 not every user but I would bet he is targeting every man and woman over 18 in the United States.
