I would go with a memorable name. You don't know what the future will bring. And I prefer WordPress over Wix myself.

@siegel4 No that's a bad idea. Could look like a very poor attempt a PBN and especially bad if inter-linking all on the same host/server. Go for Brand URL, rank that and then further down the road you can either add more service and city pages and/or buy a few more generic domains to target other areas with their own GMB if needed. Go for WordPress as well, you'll have more control over everything you do.

@siegel4 You could alias them to the company domain. When done right an alias is just a redirect. It doesn't require allocating a hosting account or addon domain slot to the aliased domain.

@siegel4 Safer to redirect I guess but why, what is the point of it? If he insists then fair enough, he's your first client so I understand you wanting to please him. There's no SEO value in doing this. As long as he understands that, then you should be fine.

Why are you doing client work when you don't know the basics? This is what gets the industry a bad name.

@ilario well he's admitted he's never used Wix, so I'm right. Have a nice day, I'm rather busy.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

@ilario usually in an agency or company where you can learn amongst other people who take responsibility for the client and outcome, yes. Practicing for the first time on a 6 month contract client is both dangerous, risky and irresponsible.

@siegel4 May I ask how much are you charging for your services?

@siegel4 That's a good start man, just work on your knowledge and techniques, I think you're on the right path.  Kyle Roof has an amazing on-page SEO course, for off-page stuff I haven't seen any useful off-pages courses to be honest.

Rather than thinking about EMD, I'll suggest going for a brandable domain. Something that'll stick amongst users and reflect the business of your client. @vanda is on point with her suggestions.

PMDs work fine too. EMDs work really well for map pack, but don't take the risk. Pick proper categories, optimize GMB profile, Sync your website content with GMB categories correctly, publish business site, do citations, local links (there are many creative ways to get them) Local Client takeover has a free course that goes in detail if you are learning. Watch it so that you can deliver properly on client expectations
