I don't think anything will happen, really. At worst a fine or they may need to dilute ownership of some things and lose control. Maybe some more regulation They're not going to systematically dismantle and separate everything like with Standard Oil. That would wreak so much havoc in the markets.

I think Google's people will squash this. I'm certain they have powerful lobbyists. If not, they soon will.

Some kind industry self-policing board will be set up so all the kids of the elites who couldn't pass the tech quizzes will be able to grift themselves a beach house.

Google is going to dump many of the 3rd party ad network and data partners as they are liabilities and selling/sharing data.

New laws will be passed. Google will write the new regulations via congressional advisors. This is good for Google; they love rent seeking as much as any other large corporations.

I think I've figured out how Trump will cover his huge budget deficits. And this might score him some political points with the electorate, too.

Adwords has become somewhat of a shit show lately. With them getting into so many Lawsuits (Google Flights, targeting major Airline Brands, etc) that they have been force to write new policies into Adwords, because of their own Greed . and they SUCK! I put a campaign together the other day and a few Ads got disapproved under the "restricted businesses" rules. Which is a long list that completely works against what Adwords is for in the first place. Check this one out: Local services "As part of a limited beta, ads for locksmith and garage door repair services are restricted in specific areas" UUMMMM WHATT!?! your telling me I can only run ads in certain areas now and need an advanced licenses to extend your GEO Target (you must apply and be approved/) - No Guess work here, More money for future GMB ads, coming to a Google Business Listing near you, very soon. the list is long, and this is just one of many new adword policy updates.  To make matters even worse, last time I called in for help on this particular issues with the ads being disapproved, the second thing the support staff says, is. This Campaign's Budget needs to be at LEAST $4000k per month or you will fail miserably. I just laughed and said, I been doing SEO a long time and don't need to pay your "Google Stupid Tax" Good Day Sir.
