@abbeyabbi worked fine for me for 3-4 month before I joined an agency. It makes complete sense honestly, you connect via proxy so they can't detect it.

It costs less than $100 to have a tool that literally performs black magic. This miracle of human achievement scours mankind's infinite web of knowledge, instantly transforming incomprehensible and infinite data into digestible metrics and actionable information. $99 is not expensive.
by (660 points)
While I'm here. anyone want to group buy?
by (600 points)
If you are an employee and you have one site it is very expensive. If you are self-employed and you have clients this is a good price.
by (1k points)
@toussaint4351 yes message me please
by (5.6k points)
Anything under the advanced plan is just a glorified backlink checker. So no, it costs $399 a mo.

Just pay the 7 bucks for the trial. Download as many sheets with your competitors top keywords and posts and start creating content. I know that ahrefs is more than spreadsheets but if you can afford $99 a month, that's the way to go.
by (600 points)
I am looking for a platform for keywords
by (1.2k points)
What do you mean by platform for keywords?
by (600 points)
@sapienza1 Like ahrefs
by (1.2k points)
This is what I did. Ahrefs has many functionalities. The $99 are more than justified but I couldn't /can't afford it. I signed up for the trial, paid the 7 bucks and added the url of my competitors and I got the keywords that they are ranking for. Do you want keywords? The sites in your niche have the keyword you need. $7 bucks will give you lots of ideas to start. Complement with ubersuggest which is free. Not many tools can compare with the work that ahrefs does.
by (600 points)
@sapienza1 Check your inbox please
by (390 points)
I do the same. I've bought trial account like 5-7 times over the years. Just have to use a different email each time.

@impersonal again why not my inbox lol

There are many When I started seo I used to use - Soovle Answer the public Google keyword planner (just run one low budget ad) Uber suggest (older version) Keyword shitter Keyword everywhere (it's paid now) And then I used to use urlsmatch tool to analyze competitors content, and get keyword ideas from that Link assistants website auditor can also help with that Google related keywords Google SERP Also, nowadays I am using seo ruler. pro These all can help if you are working in small scale, if you are working on large scale then I think you can also buy paid tool
by (600 points)
Mozbar is not working anymore?

Ahrefs is better used for checking backlinks and anchor text diversity. There are better tools for doing keyword research, some are free and some are paid.
by (360 points)
@agosto which ones please
by (610 points)
@theatrics Personally, have a subscription for Ahrefs. But when I'm doing kw research, here the tools that I use Paid: SEMRush KWFinder by Mangools Free: Ubersuggest. io Soovle iSpionage Google Keyword Suggestions Google Keyword Planner

I really like Mangools and you can check PA and DA wi it

@hadwyn it's amazing

@stronski plus TF and CF as well
by (1.8k points)
I love KW Finder but I hate that they make it all or nothing. Can't do a single keyword lookup without paying for the whole Mangools suite of tools. If you're gonna make it all one service, make it all one service.

If you're looking for a good keyword tool, just ust Google. Finding keywords isn't rocket science and you don't need a $100 a month tool to do it. If nothing else, pay the $10 per month and use Ubersuggest. It's as accurate as Ahref's for many niches, especially local keywords.
by (360 points)
@ubald really. Nice.
by (7.3k points)
At least that's been my experience. I've searched for local terms on Uber and make a list, then go into ahrefs and search for the same term and many times ahrefs won't give me a list nearly as good as Uber. On global terms, I'd say they're about equal with ahrefs doing a little bit better.

You can try there $7 for 7 days trial, now you cannot call that expensive! At the end of the 7 days just repeat with a new email address and IP location.
