How about sharing a deal? The local Walmart's (Central Ohio) have the first generation Google Home Mini's on clearance. The 2 pack chalk color is $25, single pack $15. It seems that's the only color on clearance, though. The darker ones were regular price, or just a little bit off.

Amazon has the echo dot 3 with clock on discount, a bit more than google, but you can totally star trek the theme by changing wake word to computer.
