Any smoke alarms capable of flashing philips hue lights? I am deaf and I brought the nest protect but had to return because in August last year google brought out nest, and won’t allow IFTTT function. People with nest email accounts PRE AUG 2019 can still get it. Post Aug 2019 all google accounts which won’t allow for IFTTT light flashing. Any recommendations?

@unclothe1851 yep I have smart things, 3 first alert zcombos and hue. Mine is setup to turn on lights if my smoke / CO detectors go off.

Check out Node Red. There are flows for both Phillips Hue and Nest Protect, and using Node Red you might be able to get them to work together in the way you want. Node Red takes a little to set up but the capabilities are huge.

Get a zwave smoke Detector, then you can have it trigger a strobe light

I use Nest Protect and when they go off all my lights go red via IFTTT I’ve not checked if google have crippled that with their new closed approach tho
