Hi everyone, I'd like to set up a google-hub replacement, and would like to use a tablet instead - mainly because I want something thin and less bulky to hang on a wall between the kitchen and the living room. I don't have any smart bulbs or such, and would like to use the hub mainly to check my calendar, add item to my google keep list, and have a family photos screensaver. Any recommendations for affordable tablets that would be able to perform these task fluidly? Should i go with 7'' or 10''? Thanks!

The Samsung Tab A's are great for this, you can find them in both sizes.

Amazon Fire tablets are always on sale, but it takes a bit of work to jailbreak them and install Google services.

I thought about the Fire, but i think i'd rather pay a bit more and get a proper android tablet, maybe an older gen samsung, or a Levnovo/Xaiomi.
