What are some "smart" things people have done with their decks? Lighting, furniture, accessories, patio umbrella, etc? Would love to see some ideas and inspiration!

We use plug in smart outlets to control trellis lights and pool lights. Also use the same outlets to control pool robot and in water light. All via Alexa so we can maintain control (we don't need routines for OD). Have crappy solar post lights for the deck and outdoor speakers wired to a NUVO 6 zone/6 source amp. Looking to steal some of the poster ideas so thanks for asking!

This post intrigued me. I have had smart lights on my deck for years now. They're so smart when it gets dark they turn automatically without me having to say anything. Then, the following day when it gets light they turn off again. just like magic :)

Ring a chime every time someone opens the door. A smartlock on the patio door. Camera on the outside to detect motion and report to SmartThings at night. Grill connected to a smart plug to remotely control and view via camera.

Back deck had 4 standard outlets when I moved in. Replaced those with GE outlets (1 smart / 1 standard on each). Three have fans on them, one has a fountain. 2 GE outdoor dongle types, one for lights across the length of the deck (ceiling) and one for lights going around the wall of the pool. 2 Wyze cameras (1 static for the back door, 1 panning for yard area). 1 Alexa Input (named Outside) plugged into an RF device that sends music to 4 outdoor speakers (3 on back deck, 1 on front porch). 1 smart light switch for the underwater pool light. 1 standard (dumb) water timer that adds water to the fountain for 1 minute every afternoon. 2 B-Hyve water timers used for the drip irrigation around the pool wall. 1 smart color bulb in the standard outside light fixture (power always on) which gives color coded notifications of front screen door, yard gates, washer/dryer, mailbox, water and smoke detectors. Just recently started adding voice announcements to Alexa for some of those things as well. German Shepard has a large kennel with two fans, controlled by one GE dongle plug that turns on and off based on the current yard temp.
