Yup, did that. I ended up switching to the general option. I'm going to add my own weather station in due course.

Absolutely love mine. It has all of the cool weather features, but what I really like is when I’m working on my sprinklers I can turn on a zone right where I’m working from my phone to see if I have things the way I want them. It couldn’t be any easier to set up and for two seasons has worked flawlessly.

I have the Rachio 3. It has saved me $$$ on my water bill. Set it up to water based on weather and forget it. I only manually operate mine when I fertilize the grass.

Would you mind sharing a bit more of your experience with Rachio and "better ones"? I'm considering getting a sprinkler controller that is network enabled and your experience could help me and others in this group. Thanks in advance.

I bought an Orbit b hyve this year. Couldn’t justify the price difference between the orbit and the Rachio.

6 zone v2 here and I love it. Can’t really say I compared it much to others aside from the original dumb controller. If you’re thinking of integrating with another home controller maybe check compatibilities.

I installed it late last year. I love that I can control it from my cell phone when I’m adjusting heads. Also nice that I can upload pics of each zone. One anecdotal downside i have seen so far is that the “hyper local weather” doesn’t seem to work for me. Here in the East Bay SF we had a rained out March and Rachio still wanted to water. The weather info does not line up for me. Not sure why

Love my v2. I under estimated the amount of water it would save me. The intelligent weather software is really smart.
