Any Centurylink Gigabit Fiber users here? Have you figured out how to replace their wifi router? I'm looking to replace my Centurylink-provided wifi router to stop paying the monthly rental. I need a more powerful wifi router with easy to use parental controls and monitoring.

I have it. I just turned off the wifi on their router, kept it as a basic switch and use my ubiquiti ap's.

Can you post a picture and the model number of the Centurylink equipment?

The datasheet says that the modem is for the companies VDSL service, not fiber. The website does list compatible routers that you can purchase, non of which are any better then the one you have.

I had CenturyLink fiber and that was the modem we used. They have a ONT terminal on the outside of the building that goes from fiber to an Ethernet cable. Then from there to the router. I absolutely loved it!

Need them to run as ethernet not coax from the ONT. Then can use your own router.
