Inovelli is a good switch and allows you to use a regular 3 way switch for the 2nd switch. Also no neutral needed. Great support

Do you mean three switches side by side? If you can't imagine what this looks like under the plate--it's just three regular switches side by side, nothing special--I'd recommend an electrician do this for you. As for what you replace it with, do you have preferred protocols and are you already using some sort of hub/software? You have a few Z-Wave recommendations above that will require a hub (not a bad idea) and a couple for Lutron (the truly "smart" ones of which, like Caséta, will also need Lutron's Smart Bridge).

@pelpel yeah I’m seeing there’s a little more to this than anticipated. I assumed I could just buy some smart switches, download an app and be good to go. I didn’t know I would need a hub.

There are some wifi ones that work that way. You probably aren't getting any recommendations for them becsuse they're not that good.  In general, they tend to work only with their manufacturer's app/system (so you'll outgrow them if you ever want to make it part of a fuller, "real" home automation system that usually has a hub) and are often cloud-dependent.

@pelpel yeah which is something I’m trying to avoid. I don’t want to have 5 different apps on my phones that control different switches in the house lol.

The proprietary systems mentioned above are all rockstars in their own space. If you only goal is Lighting control with your smart home the cost of a HUB to help decreases with every switch you install. Smarthings and Zwave switches are a rock solid solution. The GE C line is wifi and I doubt GE is going anywhere so they are a super solid wifi solution. Those routes won't require tons of apps and future proofs you for quite some time to come.

I have 2 sets of GE 3-way switches connected to my SmartThings hub.
