If you navigate to the IDE () then you can log in, select your hub, go to devices, and edit it's type. It's likely that it came in as a z-wave generic device and you can change it to a lock.

You can always change the device handler in the IDE. For your Sledge lock the Rboys app and device handler works best

Tried that too- ZERO control over the lock in the ST app - even with all these changes

@oney5 You might need a Zwave repeater close to the lock.

I don't have any help for your issue, but coming from someone who ran wink and smartthings side by side for over a year specifically to keep my lock on wink, spend the money on rboy's device handler. It unlocked all the functionality you had on wink and then some. The other handlers for locks are pretty basic, which is why I left my lock on wink for so long.

Another vote for the Rboys lock handler - the app gives you SOOO much power and control over the schlage lock.

@hinder dont disagree - just cant get it to connect

So @oney5 - did you follow @maytimes advice? Also the key thing for that lock is the hub needs to be VERY close to the lock. You could take out the lock bring it over right next to the hub, or get the hub right next to the lock. That might be your issue but make sure it is using the right device type. You already tried excluding it I see. Good luck . Report back.

ALL It took was a factory reset to pair properly

Yes, I assume you had your Schlage lock connected to your Wink system. Once a Z-wave device is connected to a system, it needs to be removed before it can connect to another system. This can be done by the factory reset you did. It can also be done by a remove process of the Wink system. SmartThings also has an exclude mode where you can remove the connection to another system. I am sure Rboy has a more robust handler with many more options, but if all you need to do is lock and unlock the Schlage, the SmartThings handler works fine.
