Yes. The only real complaint people seem to have is that you no longer get to choose which devices and scenes you want, the whole lot comes across. The favoured workaround for that is to create a new 'home' in Google and hide the devices and scenes you don't want in that.

@navarro with the new app you can choose what will show up in Google.

@mickel Not with the new integration. The only option is 'Delete Account'.

@navarro it's still showing on mine as connected services under settings

@mickel if you still can choose which devices/scenes you want to show up in GH, then you have the old integration. The new integration will show as connected service under settings, but under all locations instead of your specific location.

"Classic SmartThings routines are no longer supported". Who's going to pull the trigger first and let the rest of us know what happens?
by (21.2k points)
@vasya I haven’t used Routines in months

I'm so scared to do this and it sucks because the best aware subscription I want requires account migration
by (320 points)
@dynode do you mean the away monthly subscription for nest cameras etc won’t be available unless you move to google? I think I saw it looks better and also have the same issue.
by (3.8k points)
@arbalest yes from what i can tell. I def dont want to start any rumors but when i went to subscribe it said i had to migrate the account.
by (320 points)
@dynode yes I asked because I just saw the same thing! I pay $50 a year for aware for my nest hello cam but I think it said $6 per month for all cameras so I clicked to sign up and it said I needed to migrate. So now not sure what to do.

I’ve migrated my st across to the new app. To start with I had an issue with the migration telling me that my door lock wasn’t supported in this country but clicked on a few things and it’s all back working again. Mine is really basic so not many automations but hasn’t thrown anything up yet.

If you haven't, don't! It's a huge mess since you can no longer choose devices to not sync.

Why on earth are the removing the choice to choose what’s synced. Bad move

Seems stupid to remove the choose of what shows up.
