Greetings, I am one of the many former wink users who is switching over to smartthings. For the most part it's going rather smoothly but. With my Wink hub I was able to get a "chime" when my doors opened using a dome siren. I have installed the Siren Device Handler however I am unable to choose any chimes sound. Although Chime volume and chime repeat is listed as an option I can not get it to work. The only things that does work is the alarm and I am able to choose what type of sound and volume etc. in settings but that seems to be it. Did I somehow managed to install the siren device handler wrong or is this just not an option with smart things and/or the dome siren? Is there another siren that works with smart things that will give me the chime?

I have it working with my Dome siren using the standard speaker companion smart app. But it’s a bit tricky. Here’s my setup:

@gotham89 from the new app, tap + in the upper right > smart app > speaker companion. Choose custom message.

Open the old app to see and text options. I use WebCoRE to chime for different events. Custom device handlers do not work in the new app.

@lixivium3 Thank you. What do you mean old app? The classic app? I have not downloaded that or used it. What is WebCore?

@gotham89 Yes the Classic app. WebCoRE is a rules engine for Smartthings.

Something you can also consider. if you have alexas it’s easy to use those as sounders.
