What are folks using for sirens and maybe a buzzer for a bedroom that will wake a person but not deafen us. Are the Aeotec as problematic as people seem to say? I'm literally pondering an outlet with a transformer and low voltage buzzer and a siren haha. Probably not the worst idea it seems.

I’m using the Dome siren for several types of chimes.

Working well? Pretty bad reviews on Amazone.

‍♂️ I’ve had mine for years. Use it as a siren and door chirp just fine.

Excellent, Good to hear. Thanks!

@foothill btw, it will require a custom device handler for the chimes to work. Not sure if you’ve ever set one of those up before.

No, but I am understanding of it. I set up webcore succesfully but haven't done anything with it haha. Busy etc. Handlers are do-able I suppose haha

I hope. lol

I use the Aeotec Siren 6, not problematic at all. Jumping quickly between various sounds can cause it to have a brain hemorrhage - so don't do that. It's been great for us - I've tried other sirens that I have not liked: one worked fine but wouldn't turn off in a reasonable amount of time, the other (Everspring) seemed good at first but would not always sound a siren when asked to, kinda something you want to work reliably so out it went. So far, the Aeotec has sounded every time without fail.

Good to hear, I tend to think many poor Amazone reviews are user error issues. Seems both of these are hard to find right now. :/
