Before you jump to bulbs, think about switches. With bulbs, if someone flips off the wall switch, your bulb is no longer smart/controllable. For this exact reason, I only do switches.

@blatman makes sense. I wouldn’t do switches in a rental either.

I am trying out the inovelli red series which allows for scenes and extra clicks. I used to have the GE ones, they are very simple and clean. More cost effective then other brands.

Zooz makes switches that you can have trigger scenes. I currently have switches in almost ever room, but will be using the zooz to turn off and on some bulbs in my daughter's room. She's 16, and likes the idea of setting different colors.

Happy with Sengled. Hue if you want color

@blatman that's subjective . I can only vouch for the reliable connectivity.

Have a house full of hue with the odd Osram or two, all good and work with ST.
