My house is old and doesn’t have neutral drops in all the switch boxes. I have a double switch in a single box at my front door that controls porch lights on one switch and entry lights on the other. I’d like to replace these with a relay since there isn’t room for 2 switches. Do any of you know of a relay that will work without neutral?

You can find some neutral-less controllers out there but. they won't work with LEDs. YMMV

Looks like the Aeotec dimmer will work with LED and no neutral. Is that right? $55 is. Little steep but if it works I guess it's not bad

@beefcake If you hunt around there's some neutraless Dimmers, Switches and i think even 3-way remotes. GE and or Jasco.

And. you can shadow/mirror switches as a pretty slick workaround

And. you can always replace a 1 gang with a 2 gang as long as there's room between studs

@beefcake PM sent on an option for you

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately there is no room to do anything different with the switch, it's on a narrow post between the door and a window. Bad design but cant change that

@gunn2 What's shadow/mirror switches mean? I'm not familiar with that, not by that name anyway. Thx.

You can have one switch do what another switch does, even though they're not wired/interfaced

Use the ground for a neutral.
