Recent iOS updates seem to have iPhones relatively frequently throwing a pop-up to confirm that user wants to continue using Location Services, for specific apps. My kid and wife keep hitting ‘never’ or ‘ only while using app’ (even though I told them to always hit ‘Always’). This screws up Life360 and webCoRE presence sensors, which fouls up all my automations and pistons. When a user says ‘Always’, why the hell does it keep asking?! FML

Agreed. I do appreciate getting the notification ONCE as there were a few surprises I have seen on my phone.

@edisonedit how about when the pop up shows for a split second then runs away without giving it input. Half the time I can't even see what app it was asking about.

Not an ideal solution but look at screentime in settings. you can lock it so changes can not be made to location services.

It is the location setting under content and privacy settings in screentime.

Hate it! I wish they would change it back it’s making all my location stuff freak out for family and wife and kids of course don’t click the “continue using” so then I have to grab their phones and change again. Silly change IMO if I set to always I want always

You don’t need to select a preference. Apple already knows what you want and will force feed it to you.

I’m not having this issue. I don’t having it ask me all the time. It pops up on occasion and usually for apps I haven’t used in a while when I used them.
