Anyone have a reliable way to hook up a Mighty Mule gate opener to ST? Has to be battery operated, using solar and car battery for gate, no electrical available.

Look at the MIMOlite, it will run from 12V

What are you attempting? Just to open and close? Or do you want to see status, etc? Are you close enough for a zigbee or ZEAVE mesh to reach?

@eboni5119 ideally both, open/close and status (status only would just be a door sensor). Yes I can get a z-wave signal there, just don't have electricity there.

@christlike if it is within that distance, personally, I would use a multi-sensor for the gate, and I would use a remote up at the house. You can use a dry contact, or you can plug a 12vdc power supply into a smart plug, and after making the button "closed", just run your power to the remote for 2 seconds for your open or closed routine.

@eboni5119 mimolite will work as a momentary dry contact output and a input (connect hall-effect sensor to input pins) all in one.

@unclothe1851 My only reservation would be whether or not it can stand the weather. But I haven't ready anything in depth. If there is a control cabinet it can go into, then awesome. otherwise, might want to build one, and hope it doesnt cause ZWAVE issues.
