Thanks for the add.  We just recently got Arlo pro 2 for our house. Thanks for the add. We just recently got Arlo pro 2 for our house. With us having livestock also I put the cameras out in my barn when it's time for the livestock to have their babies so I can keep an eye on them while I'm at work. My question is will a wifi extender work to help boost signal to the cameras out in my barn or will it not help since the cameras get their signal from the base station? They work half the time but the signal is just to weak out in the barn for it to play continuous live stream. They work great when we have them on the doors of the house and the driveway. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I had this issue with a Wifi dead zone and a WiFi range extender worked for me and the camera works fine now. You do have to be within so many feet of the basestation as well

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but do these solutions extend the signal between the cameras and base, or extend the wi-fi signal (and thus the base station) closer to those cameras with difficulties. I'm in the same situation as @bollix. Thankyou

WiFi extenders don’t work at all. I had about 40 people tell me this when I bought my Arlo’s. Wish I was told that a couple years ago when I bought one for something else. Extender didn’t work for us. When there’s a dead zone there’s a dead zone. When there’s a weak zone there’s a weak zone. It just won’t catch the signal most of the time and it continuously tries to connect. It only helps reach a little further if there’s great connection

I use the orbi mesh. My router is on one side of house and the satellite is the very end and opposite side of my house. I get same speed download on either side of house. I tested speed in neighbors back yard and still same speed. She is on satellite side of house. As of now my base is hooked to the router and I've still received signal to camera at edge of my neighbors yard with old router system. When I get a chance I'll hook my base off the satellite system and see if I can receive camera signal in neighbors back yard. I couldn't before. Give me a day or two and I'll get back to the group.

Tested again by connecting base station with the satellite via Ethernet cable. I was then able to use camera on far side of my neighbors back yard. The only bad part was there was quite a lag, but yet with this set up, I was able to expand to the neighbors back yard verses the edge of my back yard. Hope this helps someone.
