I have a slider door into the back yard. My sensor will tell me the door is open or closed. The lock on the slider is manual and I have no visibility as to whether the door is locked or not. Has anyone implemented a solution to remotely let you know whether the slider is locked? Ideally, there would be a remote option to lock it as well.

You might be able to engineer something like this to act as the lock and control it's power via Smartthings. .!

I'd get a bar lock. The kind mounts to the door frame and prevents the door from opening if its locked or not and mount a tilt sensor to it.

@arguelles I like this idea on a simple slider pane. I have 3 sliders with a 4th stationary. The bar would be extremely long or multiple bars. Not really practical in my situation.

I've got a Xiaomi open/close sensor and just mounted the magnet in such a way that it reports closed only when the latch is in the locked position
