Regarding ST_Anything: how difficult of a setup is it? Totally new to these type of devices, have all the parts but no ide how to make it all come together. Was confused before I read the readme and now afterwards I’m simply overwhelmed. I’ve got ESP8266 boards plus both DHT11 and DS18b20 sensors.

ST_anything is pretty cool and very well supported! It’s quite easy to start with on ESP8266 and a sensor, switch . gradually increasing complexity .

@subtreasury70 what are your plans with them?

@subtreasury70 you can use the Konnected firmware on the Node and use temp probes.

You can probably just use a probe like this except the well is nice. Have issues with probe and you won't have to drain/shut off water to pull:.

The easiest ESP8266 boards to integrate are the Particle Photons. You can also purchase some ESP8266 Lua boards for $7 and flash them with the Konnected. io DIY code. Both work flawlessly in my set up for over 6 years.

Ran 2 nodemcu with dht22 but messed up somewhere as they dropped off the network and never reconnected

I found ST_Anything fairly easy to use and I had never touched an arduino prior to my project. I used a nodemcu and three DS18B20 temperature sensors.

St_anything is amazing. I used a nodemcu to control my dumb garage door. Can check open closed using magnetic switched and relays to control doors. Been working awesome for 2-3 years.
