Anyone know if nest smoke detectors works with smarthings?

Google killed the works with nest integration a while back. If you had them integrated it would still work, but you cant add new integrations.

@nazar a quick search of this page would tell you that since Google bought nest there is no ST integrations. Prior to this yes they did work and there is no way to make them work now.

To be accurate, it had more to do with Google eliminating the Works with Nest program. Nest had barely introduced the Protect before Google bought them -- which was over six years ago now -- and that was even before the 2nd generation Protects came out.

You can use any hardwired smoke alarms if you buy the relay for them and wire it into your favorite device that can be tied into SmartThing. Eg a contact sense that accepts hardwired inputs

Not Nest, but a few options for smoke detectors. 1. First Alert Z-Wave Smoke and CO detectors. I think there is a smoke only option too. I use 8 of these, they work well. 2. Existing smoke detectors and the Z-Wave listener that detects the North American smoke detector tone pattern. It hears your existing alarms and conveys it to Smartthings, works natively. 3. Wyze cameras listen for the standard Smoke and CO tone patterns of your existing/regular smoke detectors as well, but don't integrate with ST natively, have to tie it into ST via IFTTT. I use this method too, works well. Hope this is helpful to anybody.

Also Alexa Guard is surprisingly capable if you have any Alexa devices.

@calycle Reene Does that listen for the standard tones too? Or something else? I don't use Alexa, so no idea.

@sixpack yes it listens for glass shattering or smoke alarms and alerts. In my testing it was very accurate.

Nice. Glass too, very cool. Seems like a good feature for a smart speaker.
