I have 2 of them. They work great with me, they pair easily and always work on command, I’ve read that some people have issue with the battery life but I haven’t had that problem

Yes, I actually had issues with the battery draining below the threshold required to power it properly. It works great and easy to pair though. I heard the Z-Wave Plus helps the battery issue. I did switch to rechargeable batteries and those actually lasted 4x (6-7 months) as long as the energizer industrial AA batteries (5-6 weeks little to 0 usage).

@hypocorism38 I had a battery drain issue with my original unit. A set of batteries lasted less than a week, and there is a z-wave switch just a few feet from the lock, so signal strength shouldn't have been an issue. I called the company and they sent me a replacement unit. Rock solid since then. Original may have had a defective z-wave chip.

The amazon key edition is super cheap on amazon right now. And from the reviews I think it can be set up with smartthings.

@kilburn yes - these are zigbee locks, and the motor must be a newer generation than my other kwikset z-wave lock because it's WAY quieter.

@gerard68 are the locks in your link zwave or zigbee? I don’t see it listed anywhere.

I have two Schlage locks and they work well with ST. Getting notification when someone open/close the lock, set passcode via the app. etc
