Hoppa do private cars and have an offer of 35 percent off at the moment.

@zinciferous don’t book Hoppa direct even with a discount code. You are better using Skyscanner to check airport transfers/shuttles and quite often Hoppa will be listed within the options at a far lower price for exactly the same vehicle and service. I used to book direct with them myself but not anymore.

@gumbo Thank you, I often use Hoppa so that’s great advice.

@doody Look at the Skyscanner link I posted in this thread below - you should be able to book a private car taxi for up to 4 people for £29 each way - they also have minibus shuttles for much less than this too.

I would take the bus personally as you land early enough.

Google search airport transfer companies in Italy. We found a fantastic deal in Malta. Three of us shared the cost of €29 for a 40 minute journey (return). There must be a cheaper way in Italy. We were warned about Uber though. When they close down the opposition their fares soar.

We were there last week and got the bus. The train doesn't run to the airport but there is a station nearby. The buses cost about €6 and go every 20mins.

There's YouTube videos showing you how to get to the buses. We went past the Vatican on the bus. Was only about €7 euro each.
