Hey guys, question!  Does anyone know why a single serving of something can be 2 points and a 2nd serving only 1?Hey guys, question! Does anyone know why a single serving of something can be 2 points and a 2nd serving only 1? For example, for breakfast this morning I scanned it and said 2 points for 1 slice. I ate 2 slices and it calculated 3 points instead of 4, for 2 slices. you’d think if 2 points per slice, it would be 4, not 3 ‍♀️

It’s because WW rounds up or down to the nearest point. For example your item may be 1. 4 SP and rounded down to 1 but if you eat two 2. 8 would be rounded up to 3.

It takes in rounding of nutrients so for example 1 slice of cheese might might actually 1. 49 points but since it’s low it scans at 1 point the you take the second slice and it adds the “just under” points and the 2 add to 3 instead of 4z

It’s like taking a zero point food of soy sauce at 1 serving its zero point but after a few teaspoons it adds to be a point

It depends on where it falls when calculated. If it’s 1. 6 it will round to 2, but 2 servings would be 3. 2, therefore, would round to 3.

The calories, sugars etc for two together may calculate as 3pts. So 1 is already a low 1pt item. I always go up in serving sizes to see if I can get extra for the same or a point more. Example. Bolthouse ranch is 2pts for 2 tbsp but remains 2pts for 3 tbsp. So if it’s a bigger salad I use it!

Like my turkey pepperoni: serving size says 15 for 2 pts, but I scrolled down in serving sizes and I can have 12 pieces for 1 point. if I was willing to use 2 points I can go up to 20 pieces. so you gotta use the point system to your advantage

It has to do with rounding the numbers up and down.
