I am not a member of WW anymore, but I am using my old slider to figure points which I love. My question about the new plan is how did everyone pick which one to go on, i. e. : green, blue, or purple?

You need to review the free foods list and pick the plan that gives you the most free foods you’ll eat, balanced with the most points for the rest. I’m on blue. I don’t eat a lot of the extra foods added to purple, so I’d rather have the points, but I wanted my chicken free, which it isn’t in green. The plans are really about maximizing the free foods list.

Your points slider won't work with the programs. Points are based on" Calories Saturated Fats Sugar Protein

Missed the point completely. I know all WW programs work. I reached goal in 1994 on WW Fat and Fiber. I've maintained my 50 lboss on every program that has come out since then. The points plus program food point values are totally different now.

You're right @pervious. The old slider wont work with the new plan. Not only are points calculated differently, the daily totals are way different and there were no free foods back then. Gotta either follow the old or the new, but not combined.

@elaineelam153 There were actually free foods with the Core Plan. Vegetables, fruits, non-cream-based soups, whole-wheat pasta, brown rice, potatoes, and grains. They also included healthy oils and fat-free mil products. You still had 35 extra points for the week. That is why I was confused about the difference in the plans.

@appellee Yeah, I think that one was the least complicated. I lost with that as well.

They have a questionnaire on the app. From your answers they suggest which plan is best for you. You can switch anytime you want to.

You take a survey to choose what plan you fall into.
