How many points is a homemade deli sandwich with ham, turkey, and cheese? Light mayo, iceberg lettuce.

You can probably save a few points by not using butter or margerine, , you probably wouldn't know the difference anyway. i don't

@adlei I don’t see butter or margarine listed in her sandwich ingredients.

Super weird reply. Are you answering a different question?

No, the subject is mentioning a sandwich

@adlei you use butter on a deli sandwhich?
by (4.3k points)
@shuler222 If you go anywhere in Australia and ask for any type of sandwich it will automatically have butter on it, you have to ask for no butter, you have to be brave because you will get some strange looks, If bread is involved then more than 95% of the time people will use butter on it, even at a greasy BBQ, I don't use butter or the equivalent

@adlei oh wow. Here in the US we usually use mayonnaise or mustard or both on a sandwhich. The only time I've ever heard of butter on a sandwhich is when its toasted and you put eggs on it.

@shuler222 Not even mayonnaise on the bread , maybe a bit in the contents in the sandwich, Before i joined WW i used to make sure the butter was really cold because i could slice it thick like cheese, a quarter of an inch [ 5mm ] and use that as a base on my sandwiches, I soon stopped that when i found out how many points i was wasting, I got the shock of my life when i got on the scales and i weighed 396 pounds [ 180 kg ] Lost 220 pounds [100 kg ] i am not very tall

@adlei yes. We use butter for alot here. Mashed potatoes, frying, melting on veggies. sooo much good stuff with butter but at 5 points a serving I had to cut down big time.

Depends on a lot. What kind of bread you’re using, what kind of cheese, how much meat and mayo? Not a simple answer

Use the recipe builder. Depends on what kind of bread, how many ounces of meat and cheese, and whether you used a tsp or a Tbsp of mayo.

If you cant count the ingredients seperately I'd rough estimate about 10-12 points the bread and the amount of mayo are the biggest variables, the meat usually is only a couple points

Depends on the plan, what type of bread you’re using and the amount of lunch meat and cheese you put on your sandwich.

Doing a quick add in the app, to be safe I would go with 8 points.
