When I went to a dietitian they never gave me anymore than 2 oz of protein at a time. It would drive me crazy around dinner time when I wanted more.

I use a small plate. I measure everything on a scale if I don’t have the correct measuring items available.

Pioneer Woman has a set of really pretty measuring cups. They are glass and look like teacups. There is 4 in the set for around 8. 00. They go from 1/4 up to 1 cup. I use these to measure my portions.

If I eat out, I get a To-Go box when my meal is brought, unless I am SURE it's portion appropriate. I divide my meal in half, occasionally in thirds, and fill the To-Go box before I begin eating. Sometimes when we linger over a meal with a friend or date, we keep eating just for something to do while we chat. It may be a little thing, but it often helps.

Small plastic containers. Fill several days worth at a time. Get rid of larger containers. Able to keep potion control and variety of foods. Just don’t heat stuff in them. Have small glass for that

At a restaurant, ask for a to-go box right away and pack half your food in there at the start of the meal. Order and eat appetizer as a main course.

Whenever I buy anything tha tis not in portion sizes, I divide it up (such as chips), into maller plastic bags. If it says there are 10 servings, I take 10 small bags and divide up the entire bag or box. Then i return to small bags into the original bag or box. Then when I reach in to get it, i have the exact portion size and I also write the point cound on the box or bag. in fact, it is helpful to write the points down on everything when you get it home and you won't have to go back and double check aqgain. Cereal box, oatmeal box. just take a sharpie and write down the smart points!

I use a small tea/coffee cup & only fill it half way. that way I can have a delicious creamy 0 point cup of coffee in the morning. 1 Tbsp of sugar free french vanilla creamer lightens it up just right. Edit to show a Better pic of coffee cup size.
