Don’t forget the Slew of carbs in them. Be really active and really need those carbs or look for one low in carbs. Hard to find but they are out there and the ones I have tried taste not so good.

That's a really open ended statement. It depends on your "diet" as well as the bars. They can be very useful to help you get your protein and nutrients if you need, especially if you are active. But too much of anything can be bad too.

Use the scanner on the app. I scanned several boxes at the store and decided that I didn't want to use that many points on a small bar.

I eat a protein bar every day. I’ve lost 56 pounds so far. But I generally use them as a meal replacement, and I only eat the Kirkland signature brand or Built bars.

@sensitive I’m green now. But I lost most of it on the old (better) plan, and I think that’s blue. You can get Built bars on their website, and Kirkland signature bars at Costco. I’ll give you a coupon for the Built bars if you want to try them. .

@sensitive We don’t have one in my town either. I have to drive an hour to go so I stock up whenever I get the chance!
by (3.3k points)
@sensitive yes, I used to live practically across the street from one, and then I moved halfway across the country. Honestly though, I’ll probably renew my membership when it expires because I use their online ordering too.

They are encouraged by my heath team as a snack but by my 3rd class I am ready to bite my arm off

They have their place in a diet. Try to eat as close to the natural state as possible but have an emergency alternative that is low in points and calories and that taste good

I always keep in my purse if I am doing errands or at work and have back to back meetings . I figure I at least get protein in to me. You just have to be careful which ones. My nutritionist said I could have quest or pure protein as they had less sugar
by (3.6k points)
@sensitive pictures of what quest bars or pure protein
by (3.6k points)
@sensitive pure protein are from Costco and are more like a chocolate bar. Quest bars I get at some grocery stores or GNC stores
by (3.6k points)
I prefer pure protein

I've found that anything like shakes or bars that have a long list of chemicals as the ingredients puts a wrench in my weight loss.

I eat a Built Bar protein bar every night for dessert. Lost 78 pounds so far so I'd say they are fine!
by (3k points)
Almost all of them. I particularly like the Mocha and Chocolate Orange.

Both Fiber One and Protein One make decent sized bars that scan as 2 points. Great when I'm craving a sweet. If you can't find them locally, Amazon carries everything :-)

No if you are very selective. Many are junk. Watch the sugar content

They have ALOT of points. High in carbs and sugars. They are meant to supplement a heavy workout and even a meal sometimes so they can be bad if not done right.
