In that scenario, I used to worry about how to track it. If you can, great. Do what you can. But I'm now at a point that if I cannot track it and it's already done, then I don't bother tracking it, choose not to worry about it, and consider that day a write-off and start fresh the next day. But doing so, I also accept the probability that I will be up at the scale at the next weigh in as a consequence. Yes, it's a setback. But it's one moment and we can still restart from that moment going forward. And for me to try to be more careful in the future, but still forgiving of mistakes too that will happen as a fact of life.
