@sanitarium thank you @sanitarium, I don’t think the people here understood her question !
by (2.6k points)
@epp776 if they went to the meetings we discuss it all the time. It's a topic
by (110 points)
@sanitarium I go to meetings every week, & I’ve NEVER heard that term!
by (2.6k points)
@haema we talk about it a lot on NJ
by (2.6k points)
@toein like I said in NJ its discuss in my meetings quite frequently.

A lot of us only do on-line. I had no idea what this poster was talking about--but now that I do, it's turned into an interesting post. I guess it's the old saying, "don't assume anything. "

The behavior part is the o ly part that made me realize you weren't talking about blt. So I had to read the comments to see what else it meant. And oops. I don't count mine  I guess I should. (I've been doing it for about 3 weeks, if that) so glad I found out now!

@pectoral, Bites, Licks and Tastes
by (1.1k points)
@halfblood I had not given that a thought . you learn something new all the time on these WW sites . now to figure out what to do with this information. lol
by (3.8k points)
@pectoral, your body tracks them even if you don't! A trip through Costco or Sam's can be a LOT of points if you sample all the goodies!

Chew gum when you are cooking. running thru Costco, etc.

High fiber bread, spinach and 3 long strips of bacon cut in half . or just make it one cheat meal you only eat it once a month.
by (3.7k points)
@linin cheat meals don’t exist on WW
by (2.9k points)
@chemotaxis I just create my own sometimes if I want something extra. I know it’s not on the plan. I’m always trying to trick the scale. ‍♀️

Frankly I would just eat it however I wanted with chips n salsa and a ton of water then fast for the next 12-16 hours and go back to counting points for the next 7-10 days and the scale will never see that blt

When you are cooking for a group of people you tend to taste the foods you are making to make sure they are seasoned properly, if I do it I count the points, so I usually just have hubby do the tasting!

I have a huge problem with this too but have committed to tracking everything now. Example: So when I come home with a bag of goldfish crackers I count out little 2 point bag fulls for an accurate snack pack. But I do eat some while I am packing them up so now I count out the first 2 points worth of goldfish and eat those while I'm packing up the rest. Then track that bag of 2points. I then put them in the cupboard with labels for points. I also eat an apple or other fruit while cooking but gum is also a good idea.

Count them or don't do them in the first place

by (3.7k points)
It depends on what it is and how much I consume of it. One needs to taste food while cooking it. But I try not to do more than is required. If I full on take a big bite or am consistently nibbling while cooking I take a guess at amount and track it.

If it really is just a BLT, count each as a point. If it’s more than be honest and measure and track.

Hahaha! Pretty sure you mean Bites, Licks and Tastes. No problem when fixing veggies or fruits, but with sweets it can really add up. I had a leader suggest to count one point per bite. Does cut down on the urge to BLT if you really do track it.

Today I had a turkey sandwich with lettuce & tomato and perhaps one slice of bacon (the kind without nitrates is one point per slice). Use just a little of lite mayo (or FF plain yogurt instead? ) and use two slices of a one point bread. You can have a BLT for 3-4 points.

I love bacon. About once a week I made 3 slices and count the 5 points. Try low point bread. Low point mayo. Count the points and enjoy!

Replace the bread with whole lettuce leaves, cut thick tomato slices, use just a smidge of mayo, and substitute turkey bacon for pork.
