I joined Weight Watchers on Friday and so far have lost 1. 4lbs. Now here's my issue. When im at home my mil is the one who cooks until we get our own place, and that should be late next month early April. How do I go about eating what she cooks for now? Lunch and breakfast and snack are easy for my, it's dinners that are difficult

Reduce the portion and make up for it with your healthy snack foods?

That’s a tough one! Maybe get her a WW or HG cookbook?

Add a salad. you can still eat a smaller portion of what she is making but have a salad with it.

Smaller Portions, water and walking. You will lose and then in April you control what you cook.

I eat what my hubby eats and it’s not ww. I add a salad, canned vegetables or fruit. Small portions on most items. Maybe you could offer to cook once a week . Make big salad you can eat off of all week

Help her! offer to cook meals with her. Tell her you are trying to eat healthier and would love to try some new foods

Go buy your own food. Make your own meals. Tell her thank you. But your trying to loose weight and just going to try to eat differently. I don't think you should expect her to cater to your dietary needs.

Tell her you are on weight watchers and may need to modify your eating and measure your food. She should understand.

I was at my daughters for 2 1/2 months, they have to eat glutton free, and their 7 years old daughter also, so bringing in other foods didnt work cause I didn't want to eat things my granddaughter would be interested in, so I walked 12, 000 to 18, 000 steps a day, and ate very small portions, also made salads and ate those, its totally doable , i lost weight during that time,

Steam a bag of veggies in microwave or salad on side to fill up on with her meal.

Can you ask her for help? Maybe by making her apart of your journey she could lighten meals up a bit

I would eat what you need to stay on track. When I go to my mother in laws she makes all fattening food and I take my own food and tell her I can’t eat like that. She always understands.

What about cooking your own dinner or buy yourself some WW TV dinners.

Just a suggestion - don’t weigh yourself every day, especially in the beginning. Your weight will fluctuate and may get you frustrated if you gain
