Vacation coming.  2 days of travel and 10 days on a cruise.Vacation coming. 2 days of travel and 10 days on a cruise. I'm taking workout clothes in hopes to use the gym. I know I can walk. I'm concerned about food, mostly sweets. I know what to do but will I? I'm ok with a couple pound gain but what are your vacation tips?

I would still track but I would not worry about points. What I mean is, track just to maintain the habit but accept that you’re on vacation and give yourself a little grace.

Walk as much as you can. moderation. pick one meal a day that you might really enjoy, go easy on the others the same day.

Enjoy your trip and just stay as active as you can! It so peaceful walking on the ship when you’re out to sea Try to stay away from those fancy drinks they offer because they have lots of sugar! Water Water

Enjoy the cruise and the food. Eat. Within reason. Get back on track when you return.

In my opinion I think you have more to worry about than gaining a few pounds taking a cruise now.

On a cruise, if you eat in the dining room it’s a sit down meal which is usually portion controlled. I’d plan around the indulgences. Also if it’s something you can get anytime vs a real treat, keep that in mind.

Enjoy yourself. I went on a cruise and went to the gym every morning. I only ate dessert at dinner and always ate a lot of fruits and veggies. I gained a pound. Win win.

Most cruise desserts aren't worth the points. You can stick to your plan. You will have to estimate ingredients and weight.

I'm facing the same thing in April. But I've been so "off track" that I'm at a loss as to how to get back on track

I spent almost 3 weeks in France and came back to a 3. 8 weight loss. I was not able to track but was mindful of what I was eating and I also enjoyed lovely food and treats. Moderation and walking over 80 miles helped But I say Enjoy!

You are on the right track. I love to workout on vacation Lots of protein. Seafood is a great choice. Start a meal with small salad so you get fuller more quickly. Share deserts! Walk! Swim! Enjoy!

I have taken two cruises and funny thing is, I lost weight on both cruises. Ate what I liked and enjoyed cocktails. We did so much walking just to get to the dining rooms and walking on the excursions. Really no snacking except for one wonderful afternoon tea. Just enjoy yourself and enjoy all, have a wonderful time. if you can, have breakfast in your room one morning, lovely treat. Bon Vogage!

When last took a cruise we were on the 7th floor. Took the stairs all the time. We also avoided the buffets. Had breakfast in our room and walked the track on the lido deck. That was one of my favorite things. Waking with the ocean all around me. We did not really track our food but only gained 1 lb. Have fun and don’t stress about the food too much.

I went on a 9 day cruise and stayed the same. I did A LOT of walking. My meals. particularly breakfasts and lunches, were mainly the same. I took tastes of things that interested me. Most of the desserts looked better than they tasted. at least that’s what I told myself. Enjoy yourself. don’t beat yourself up about slip ups, and just try not to go crazy.

I went on an 8 day. I ate what I wanted. drank alot of water. and a few alcoholic drinks daily. walked 2 miles every morning. plus had 15, 000 steps daily. alot was retained water. I had swollen ankles. It was a well deserved vacation. that I earned for meeting my goal before. so I enjoyed everything. then back to the ww lifestyle once I returned. took 3 weeks to lose the 8lbs I gained. would not have changed a thing!. enjoy your vacation!

Keep tracking no matter what. Also, you may want to switch your app to “maintain” instead of “loose”. This maybe can help your mindset

Well the desserts are on their own section. Just stay away from them! Hit the veggies and salad station first. Choose wisely your protein. If you eat in the dining room choose wisely. I had no problems staying focused on ours last year. You can do this. I gained 1 lb. You can go for long walks around the ship. Swim . Most of all have fun. If you put a few lbs on don’t beat yourself up. Happy sailing ⛵️

At dinner you can ask for sugar free desserts.
