I am seeking opinions from picky eaters as myself as to what plan they chose and if it’s working. I am at a loss to what plan to pick even after taking their assessment. I do not eat any salads or raw fruits and vegetables. I can eat some cooked or canned and I don’t eat the sugar free things because the chemicals that make it sugar free don’t agree with me. Are there any others out there like me that have picked a plan that’s working for them?

It would probably be easier to say what you do eat. Trying to lose weight without fruits and vegetables is really difficult.

I am not being funny when I say this. You have to learn to eat fruits and veggies. Try them different ways. Put it out of your mind that you don’t like something. I know picky people and they are sometimes surprised when they will stop being so difficult and try something. Especially veggies. They are the foundation of a healthy life. Forget weight loss altogether. It’s hard to have longevity in life without vegetables. Science tells us that the majority of our diet should be plant based- not including grains. Don’t get upset about what you think you don’t like. Just start trying new things with dips, seasonings, etc. you don’t have to eat raw veggies. Eat them all cooked, but canned isn’t great either.

I eat salads about 80% of my meals because it’s so easy for me to throw a million different things on them for variety. And it’s fast because I don’t have to cook it. But- I get not liking salad. My kids don’t like it, but I think they will one day when they stop saying they don’t like something just because. They eat all cooked veggies and are starting to try raw broccoli and carrots. The texture is very different and sometimes I think that freaks them out. But- I am doing my damndest to create healthy lifelong eaters without weight problems. I’m glad they are boys in that regard. Easier in this day and age with all of the terrible body image problems young women face.

I don’t eat a lot of fruits or veggies and have lost. If I do it’s in a salad. Luckily I love chicken. Thus far for me I just don’t eat out as much as I did and cut most of my chip eating out (that’s weakness for me). I was a big pasta eater so I’ve cut that back a lot too. Blue has worked for me. I am trying purple for atleast two weeks just for a change, because I did fall half way off the wagon for about a month and trying to get back 100%.

I’m a picky eater. I do however like fruit and veggies but don’t eat tons. I eat Sara Lee low calorie bread with turkey or chicken lunch meat. I eat pretzels and other 4/5 pt chips with. With same bread I use for breakfast and make eggs and maybe a slice center cut bacon. Dinner is chicken with baked potatoe or hummus with veggies ( I like raw veggies like carrots, snow peas. I also use 1 pt st. Joseph pita and grill. Also use pita to make pizza. I’m on blue

I agree with @bick. Knowing what you do eat is key. If you eat potatoes and are open to whole grains, maybe purple would work, but again, not having fruits or vegetables would make the low daily points a struggle.

I was seeking opinions of others like myself. Glad things work for some of the rest of you but will not for me. It’s not a mind set. Thanks for the ones who responded for what I was asking.
