@kathe Lewis Leese we were in totally lockdown. They have eased things slightly but the numbers aren’t going down yet. Kids haven’t been outside since March 5th!

@jidda well,  everything here is super political  so we have those who absolutely don’t follow any social distancing guidelines other than “working from home” and others who “quit their job bc they’re not risking death”. it’s all over the place. I’m in Florida, Disney world has been closed since March 16 and still closed ((they’ve only closed 5 days ever since they opened! )). restaurants are allowed to be open but only for to go orders, groceries are limiting how many can enter the store in some parts of the country, mom & pop stores aren’t open for the most part. unemployment is at the highest ever anddddd April 30th we’ll know if they’re lifting the “stay at home orders” to allow “something’s to reopen”. all the kids are doing online schooling so that’s been an adjustment for several I’m sure. I have 3 high schoolers and a 2yo. We’re a softball/dance/baseball family so not having ANY activity to go to everyday is starting to really be depressing

@kathe Lewis Leese I get it. I have two kids here 13 and 10. They’ve been doing the e-learning since March 22nd and it’s worked well for the most part. Math is tough for the older one because she’s a hands on learner and 5 minute YouTube Geometry videoes don’t help me help her. My husband is a pilot so every time he flies he has to quarantine for 14 days in the guest room and he’s the math guy in the house. He offered to send us home to Michigan when all this started but I think we are actually better off here than there for a multitude of reasons.

@kathe Lewis Leese our grocery, pharmacy and now malls are open but there are strict rules to adhere to. I went to pick up an Apple TV (I’ve finished Netflix and Amazon Prime ) and they took my temperature as I entered the mall and as I entered each store. We have to wear masks or will be fined (even in our car).
