Not sure what I need besides a swift kick in the behind. I started last April and lost 35 pounds in the first 6 months. Then the holidays came and went and I just can't seem to get on the band wagon again. I keep thinking "it is okay to eat this today, I will start again tomorrow" but tomorrow comes and goes and I still cant resist. I find it to easy to not track food to not admit what I am eating. How do I start over?

I am in the same boat. A swift kick in the behind might work. I'm up 10 pounds since December. Got to get back down to goal. I can do it and so can you. Guess I need to go back to my "why" and try on my pants . Good luck.

@amboina I’m also struggling. Started March 2019. Took me about 6 months to lose 30 lbs. but lost my willpower back in September. Still not sure what happened to shift my attitude. Maybe got comfortable hitting onederland? I’m currently a yo yo gaining and losing 5 lbs. Swift kick in the pants is needed. Refuse to quit this time. We can do it.

Pick a day. Prepare for it both mentally and physically. Grocery shop. Prep. Plan. Day one: Start tracking. Everything - good and bad. Drink water. Etc. This is what I did this last Monday. I was good all week and this whole weekend went to pot. It’s all good. I’ve jump started my heath again. I’m going into tomorrow a little bit more driven than two weeks ago. You’ve got this!

You make the decision to make a change one day at a time. The next day, track your food. Wake up and say. for today (don't worry about tomorrow yet) I am going to track my food. Take it one day at a time.

I'm sure we all can relate. This helps me-think about your WHYS. Why do you want to lose weight? Sit down and write the reasons. This journey is not easy but so worth it! I'm at goal and have never felt better about myself and the entire world. I know you can do this!

I should also mention I am am "essential employee" not in the medical field but child nutrition. I am so focused on preparng menus, ordering, preparing enough bit not to much, and feeding children of the community I work for that I loose focus on everything else including eating. When I get done for the day I am starving and want to eat everything in site. Very difficult to make time these days.

I was in the same boat. I needed to be ready mentally. I was tired of feeling blah and my Dad passed away in January. My Dad exercised faithfully every day even with parkinsons so I decided it was time and I wanted to do something he'd be proud of. Find a reason and remember we are all here for you. You've got this!

Right from the beginning of 2020, my world has been upside down. I've had loss and I just can't get past it yet. I have been depressed and now with this lockdown of the community where I live, it has been quite mentally taxing. Right now I have gained back about ten pounds and I will possibly gain a few more before I get back to work in July or August or September. It has been quite difficult but I will take it a day at a time and be gentle with myself.

Just start tracking and even if it’s a lot of points, just start paying attention again. If I can get back to just tracking when I don’t want to know the points or have to think about it - I just do my best tracking and slowly it helps me rethink what I’m consuming. The app is motivating for me too.

How do you feel? Healthy? Its about eating healthy. This pandemic has made me want to be healthier to kick it in the butt if I would get it to be as strong as I can be.

Don’t think about the 35 pounds think of 5 pounds. Smaller goals easier to achieve. You will feel successful and more motivated. When you feel hungry, tired etc. first thing you should do is drink some water. Been where you are. Good luck. You can do it.

Start tracking everything. Both the good and the bad. Do it for yourself.

Kick yourself in the butt and tell yourself enough of the excuses. Track everything that goes in your mouth and drink tons of water. You did it before you can do it again.

Get a buddy! It is definitely easier when you have someone close (family or friend) to help keep you on the right path.

You need to lose the guilt and forgive yourself. Even in difficult times you are still in control of what you eat and how much activity you get. Make sure that you have a supply of healthy, nutritious food in your house. Eat your points and add in plenty of 0 point foods to keep you satisfied. Try to get as much activity as you can comfortably fit in. Good luck, you can do this!

Use your head. sit down and actually decide what you want to do. eat and continue your your spiral, or take control and do what needs to be done. i let myself spiral and said that i really didn't eat as much as i should to be so heavy. well in joining ww i found the dd ice coffee that i got on my way to work was 21 points and almost my food allotment for the day. any meal i had just sent me skyrocketing. consider your alternatives and outcomes ~ write them down. then make your choice. When YOU have chosen its much easier to keep doing what needs to be done. without the excuses

Make plans for those special days before they come. If you do that, you never need to go off plan.
