For those 50 yrs old and older: Which plan are you finding most success on? I’m on blue (have lost 6lbs in 2 1/2 months) and thinking of switching to green. Does the plan really matter as long as we truly follow either one? Thanks!

@bawdyhouse39348 I was on green and did fairly well. After 4 months I hit a scale freeze for about 3 weeks. Switched to blue and scale moved. Worth a try?

I'm 68, lost 38 lbs but it has been very slow. Just stick with and change things up every now and then. Keep Ck on how zer0 pt food ur eating, they don't equal zero calories. Sugar can hold the weight on u too, some fruits are higher than others

I'm on Blue since Valentine's Day. Have lost 28. but now it's really slowed down. Am reading about how to get off of plateaus. I only have 10-15 more to go. I really want to get there and leave a little wiggle room for fluctuations.

I started on blue and lost 18 pounds from October to March, I switched to green at the end of March and I actually like it better - I get more points and I have to be more careful about tracking and portions, but I am now down to my goal weight of 155 - switching to green I was able to lose another 10 lbs. I am 52. I was nervous to leave blue with so many free foods that I love - but I needed the accountability of green to monitor my portions. Good luck! You can do this!

I’m 52 and have lost 35 since the end of January and 20 lbs from goal. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water, and if you’re exercising a lot you need to maybe dip into your weeklies so your body gets the nourishment it needs and doesn’t go into starvation mode. On blue.

Started on blue. Lost 24 lbs. Less than 5 lbs to go to reach lifetime(again). Got lazy. No weight loss. Tried purple but can't do purple without adult supervision -- I was eating zero or foods all day, then consuming my daily pts in snacks. Went back to blue. Now considering green to make myself more accountable.

I'm 60 and I've lost about 25 lbs. I started on blue and switched a couple of months ago to purple. I like purple because a lot of stuff that are zero foods is what our family eats so it's easier to incorporate my diet with our family meals. The lower points allowed can be a challenge especially when we eat out which thankfully isn't often.

All the plans will work, it's a matter of which best fits your eating style. If you want to try green, then switch and give it a couple of weeks. If you like it, stay there. If you decide you want to go back to blue (or even try purple) then you can. Best wishes!

I am 62, I have lost 46 lbs on blue. I think you have to do what works for you. I plan all my meals for the week. I cook at home, take my lunch from leftovers the night before. I base my meals around 0 point foods. If we are having something with beef or pork we eat 0 point vegetables with it, if my meal has a 0 point protein I fix healthy carbs and 0 point vegetables. Too much information I know.

I think its harder to lose as we get older, i started 3months ago I keep losing the same 2 pounds, I know the program works but this time around at 63 its rough. I’m on blue, I did switch to green but am back to blue. It’ll happen, I’m gonna stick with it cuz if i quit I’m sure I’ll gain those two pounds and more if i give up. Good luck on your journey

Pick the plan that works best for your life. I lost most of my weight on the old plan (now blue) but switched to purple in January because it allowed me to be very flexible - I love oatmeal, rice & potatoes and eat them frequently. I’ve continued to lose weight & am now working to maintain my loss. Good luck with whichever plan you choose.

I just changed from blue to green again because I wasn’t eating tons of the zero foods every day and it gives you more points for normal items and I am losing again. I felt so constricted on 23 points and was over every day. I’m able to stay in the 30 points so it’s easier for me. Just look at the zero point items and really as yourself if you will eat those every day and how important that is versus the daily point allowance . I’ve lost 60 pounds between blue and green by the way

by (820 points)
@disrobe What are your typical staples? I can't seem to make any progress. And recently up 5 lbs.
by (1.6k points)
Chicken breast, turkey breast, eggs, veggies and salads with fat free dressing, a banana a day, grapes, sugarless applesauce, fat free plain yogurt with 1 tablespoon of Polaner All Fruit, 2 or 3 pt. breads, 1 or 2 tsp. peanut butter. I usually only have 1 starch per meal. I use my 23 pts. every day and some of the extra points every week.

Am 54 yrs old, joined WW in October, have lost 25 lbs since then and have been at my goal weight for 2 months now. Blue plan has worked great for me . love the recipes WW has available. but I admit I miss bread (I did spurge this weekend but know I cannot resume that love affair again)
by (820 points)
@endomorphism That's awesome! What were your staples?
by (12.9k points)
@amortize I usually have a zero point bfast each day because I prefer to enjoy my points with dinner. My go to’s during this time: hard boiled egg, sugar free apple sauce, Fage 0% Greek yogurt, blueberries or strawberries, sliced bell peppers (have a container of them in the fridge to snack on), sugar free coffee mate (love the Sweet Italian Cream flavor), lots of veggies (I’ll have a nice helping for lunch with a little olive oil and lemon drizzled , seasoned with kosher salt, pepper, origano ) I have to watch how much fruit I eat as I’m borderline diabetic . Berries work best (I do miss having sliced apples with peanut butter on them) So I do a lot more veggies  I also found a low sugar Prosecco to enjoy . I have not given up adult beverages at all! Chocolate is like my life. one of the WW protein bars is usually my afternoon snack with a cup of chai tea. I also love the WW fudge brownie mug cake (use the coffee mat instead of the water for it to be richer/ sweeter)  Search the App for low point meals. There are a lot of flavorful recipes . I’m not eating salads all the time but when I do is a huge salad, with lots of different flavors (Greek olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, goat cheese, beets. ) You have to figure out what works for u and not compare yourself to anyone. All of our bodies are different. . and this whole menopausal/ pre-menopause thing royally s*cks! U got this. slow and steady wins the race

Don’t stress over . They are all designed for loss. The plan choice really isn’t about food - you can eat anything on all plans in balance. The choice of plan is about Mindset. The one that fits your lifestyle is the right choice. That’s the one you will stick with and see long term results
