I use sketchers. So much depends on your feet. Every pair are as different as every pair of shoes. I buy good quality that fit my feet. I usually buy two pair and switch every other day.

Mine are flat as boards! Plantar fasciatis (or however the hell you spell it! ) prone. Ouch! I have to be careful. Lotsa walking here. Loved New Balance ($130) forever but bought 1st pair of Mizuna ($82) and LOVE them better! After 10 years of being a die hard NB fan! 2-5 mi daily. I’m 68 so these flat feet aren’t young!

Hoka One is a great walking running shoe. Ain't cheap. 150. 00 but they are made for plantar fasciitis. You have to break them in a few hours a day for a week maybe a bit more. I e been using then for 2 years. I walk 8 miles a night on my job.

I use SAS (San Antonio Shoes). Expensive but totally worth it. I have heels spurs on both feet. With SAS I can walk miles. I’m teleworking now. No commute means 2 extra hours after work for me! I’m walking! During COVID I’ve been walking 20 mile per week and doing streaming Zumba 4 times each week. SAS is the best!

Hokas. Amazing cushion. I had a torn tendon in my foot repaired - months of recovery. Hokas are the only shoes that let me actually go for a walk or shop without pain. I loved my sketchers, but they are nothing compared to Hokas.

Birkenstock’s, only you can wear your own pair because they conform to your foot and make an arch causing less back pain etc. recommend by a foot specialist.

I finally learned I have to buy the more expensive athletic shoe - usually over $100. New Balance. Keen. Vionics. Best arch support and sturdy heel sides. But i save money by not buying 3 or 4 less good shoes. Happy!

Saucony all the way! Several years I started a job with lots of walking and tried 3 or 4 pairs of "popular" brands before my feet learned the comfort of Saucony. It is the only brand I buy.

I'm a fan of Vionics. Regardless of the brand, be sure to replace them on a regular basis if you are putting a lot of miles on them. I've worn out the arch support on a few before the tread really looks bad
