Question

Has anyone implemented a successful wifi expansion from their Arlo Ultra base station? My system won’t do both front yard and back yard at the same time.

I just need a better router try a mesh system just avoid that google router it’s trash

@carving I have the Mesh system for my home wifi network and its great, but the Ultra base station creates its own separate wifi network which is what I need to expand as the cameras only connect into this network

@carving I have on them on the front and back of the house but seems there is too many walls and signal obstruction to get a good signal to both at the same time. I’ve tried centralising the base station without much luck

You basically need another base station. There's no limit to the number it base stations you have, just cameras

I have two base units and it works fine.

Do you have the router direct connected to the hub and centrally located. If you are using a mesh network maybe the signal is dropping between units. I have my router and hub centrally located and connected to an Ethernet cable. I have several cameras outside mounted on trees probably 100ft away with no problem. I am going thru brick walls and double pane glass windows. The signal on the distant cameras is down one bar but works fine. The battery life is a bit shorter but I still get 3 + months out of the batteries on these 2 cameras.

I think someone mentioned this but the only thing that talks to the cameras is the hub. It has a proprietary connection to the cameras and then sends it back thru the router.
